Wow!

So I can't believe this is happening to me.
I've never, in my entire life, written this much in four days.
My first day, 14k.
Second day, 8k.
Third day, 8k.
Today? 11k.
11.
K.
That's my second highest amount written in a day this year, third highest ever, and on a day with school, chemistry homework and 15 questions of English.
I'm just about to hyperventilate.
If you know what that means, it means that (with the extra 300 and 500 words here and there) I'm at a grand total of 42k.
Yeah.
42,000. Forty two thousand (three hundred and six, for technicalities.)
My wrists ache, my fingers are crying and my arms (where my friends decided to punch me today) are begging for forgiveness.
I'm ready for sleep. Sleep. Sleep. Sleep.
I wish I could go nuts and hit up another 8k tonight but I really need to get a little time to myself.
Onto the goal and beyond tomorrow night!
See you all on the other side,
Happy noveling,
Maggie Fisher

Day One, Off to a Rockin Head Start!

Wow!
I can't believe we're only into a day of this! It feels like it's been NaNoWriMo forever (I'm sure it helps that today had 25 hours...).
I also can't believe what I managed to do today. Don't ask me how, don't ask me why, (but I'm sure Write or Die's Desktop Edition and the fact that I paid $10 on it and want to get my money out of it has something to do with it) but I somehow did what I believed was the impossible.
I wrote 14k today.
In one day.
In seven hours.
I wrote 14k.
That means, if I stick with the word count goal that I have planned and stay at this pace (yeah right), my handy dandy NaNoWriMo report card says I'll be done on the 7th. THE SEVENTH.
Ah!
I just thought I'd share my excitement and the fact that I was able to do this because I did a mad amount of physics homework yesterday (85 questions to be exact).
Anyways, that's all for now and I'm off to do another word war!
Happy novelling!
Yours in literary abandon,
Maggie F.

A Little Background Information

Hi there!
So guess what? I've decided to go insane. Not only am I doing NaNoWriMo (www.nanowrimo.org)(writing a 50,000 word novel in 30 days) with an exceptionally high goal set for myself, I'm trying to balance running the new NaNoWriMo club at my school, the drama council in which I am the president and, of course, grade eleven.
Whenever I take a break from writing I'm going to fill you in on how my life is going and what I'm thinking about, hopefully this will reduce the amount of random drabble that happens in my novel and channel it here, so all I get is pure, unedited, raw creativity.
Anyways, I have to get back to planning (my plot just appeared with a "sorry I'm late" card begging to be embellished, and I've only got two hours left!) and keeping myself sane.
Happy novelling, and keep up that literary abandon!
Yours in text,
Maggie F.
